  • Archival adviser at Spanish Court of Accounts (2003-2005)
  • Head of the Military Archives Coordination Unit of the Spanish Ministry of Defence (Feb 1994 until 2003).
  • Member of the State Corps of Archivists and Librarians, Archives Section (Ministry of Culture), since Dec 1985. After the training time: Director of the "Spanish Civil War Section" of the National Archives), in Salamanca (May 1986-Jan 1994). During that period I compatibilized my main job whith teaching:
    • Associated professor on Archival Science at the University of Salamanca (Oct 1989-Dec 1992).
    • Director of the Workshop on Archives of the Spanish Civil War Section of National Archives. Salamanca, National Archives, “Spanish Civil War Section” (Oct 1991 Mar 1993).
  • Librarian and Archivist of the "Pablo Iglesias" Foundation, Madrid (1979-1985)

  • Member of ICA/CAV (Audiovisual Archives Committe of the International Council on Archives) 1988-1992.
  • Member of ICA/OS (Committee on Oral Sources of the International Council on Archives (1992-1996)
  • Director of the UNESCO-ICA Project "The Management of the State Security Archives of the Former Repressive Regimes". (1994-1995).
  • President of the Spanish Association of Archvists as civil servants (Archiveros Españoles en la Función Pública), 2006-2009
