Bruno De Wever (1960) is associate professor at the Department of History of Ghent University and fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (2001-2002).
He is member of the scientific council of the Belgian Centre for Historical Research and Documentation on War and Contemporary Society (Brussels) and the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation (Amsterdam). He has published many books and articles about nationalism and WWII in Belgium.He leads research in which issues of privacy and access to sensitive historic resources are under scrutiny.
